Frozen Green Beans

Frozen green beans can easily be added to soups, stews, pasta, and salads.  However, they are also a great side dish.  Below are a few of my favorite quick green bean side dishes.

Lemon basil green beans

Juice of one lemon, chopped basil, green beans, rosemary, olive oil, salt & pepper.   Sautee the green beans and rosemary in olive oil.  After 3 -4 minutes turn off the heat and add the rest of the ingredients.

Garlic green beans

Green beans, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, olive oil -  Sautee the green beans and garlic in small amount of olive oil, until the garlic is soft but not dark.  Remove from heat, add the rest of the ingredients and taste.

Grean beans with almonds

Green beans, sliced almond, dash olive oil, salt & pepper.  Place the almonds in a sautee pan and brown lightly, add green beans, salt, pepper and olive oil to taste.
